Champagne Vincent Couche, Elegance, Champagne France NV

This bottle the Elegance Extra Brut MV is from a multi year blend of 2011 to 2016 with the majority coming from the 2015 and 2016 harvests. The cuvee is made up of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. After five years of ageing on its lees, the Elegance was disgorged, topped up from magnums of older Champagne and finished with a dosage of 4.5 grams per liter. The nose of the Elegance shows its warm southern location with an aroma set of yeast, marzipan, golden apple, stone fruits, and a light oxidized spice note. The palate is present with yeast, stone fruits, apples, marzipan, and a just there clay minerality.
